While cleaning Ibis Lamianted Wood Flooring for day-to-day care a vacuum cleaner, a soft brush or a mop (well wrung out) can be used. For light surface dirt we recommend dry mopping.Footprints and adhesive dirt can be wiped away with a damp mop. Please remember to wring out floor cloths well before use. Never subject the floor to wet cloths or soak the floor with water. Ibis Laminate flooring has always been known for having excellent durability. The wear ratings range from AC2 for low usage to AC5 for heavy commercial use. Residential laminates are typically AC3 and AC4, with commercial laminates getting the AC5 rating. Most of the products carried in the showroom are rated AC4. Moisture has always been a concern with laminate floors, but advances to the quality of the HDF cores has lowered the swell rate of the better quality products to 6% Lower quality products still have an 18-24% swell rate. This will lead to "peaked" edges when water gets between the joints and causes the HDF (particle board) to permanently absorb the moisture and swell
